The project on Pier 39 was to create a new first floor entry, bar, indoor and outdoor café and elevator up to Dante’s established second floor main restaurant above. This opportunity was created by a vacancy below Dante’s and the project now was to attract customers inside and eat in the lower level or go up the elevator to the second floor. A new glass elevator and inviting bar in Italian colors and cherry wood help make this possible. Tall ceilings and mirrors lead the eye up to an opening in the ceiling to view the larger restaurant upstairs. The large outdoor dining deck is lit, heated and glassed in to control wind making it comfortable and visually appealing.
